This was an amazing read; so real and true to the times of when the book was set. The story of a loving Great Grandfather leaving letters to a young boy who would still be too young to understand or remember the old man's wisdom when the old man's time came to leave this earthly life. Just what my daughter was looking for, for her high school duel credit class. Finch, the main character, is from a broken home and has issues with his dad and his dad's new family. The storyline was good and if you enjoy the Amish romance books, you will like this book, which can stand alone, but is better with the set.
